Saint Lucia

If you love the outdoors, you’ll be spoiled in this island paradise: bubbling hot springs, stunning waterfalls, rainforests, and the Maria Islands Nature Reserve will captivate you.  There’s more to enjoy in Saint Lucia than its abundant natural beauty.  Take some time out from the dreamy translucent ocean and the grand Piton peaks to enjoy the island’s colorful local history and architecture.  Check out the capital and largest city, Castries, a haven of duty-free shops, charming hotels, and delightful restaurants.  Scuba diving, hiking, going to adventure parks, joining guided tours, taking catamaran cruises, or simply enjoying a cool refresher on the beach are only some of the activities you can do here. Cruise ships regularly dock at the island's ports for brief stopovers, giving tourists a chance to hop onto dry land and enjoy some of Saint Lucia's wonders on the go.

High season in Saint Lucia is usually from December to April. This is the busiest period and, therefore, the price of accommodation during these months is at its highest.  June to November is the wet season when the weather is rainier and more humid.  Storms are most likely to happen from August to October.   If you are looking to check out a local event, the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival is held in May and the Saint Lucia Carnival is held in July.
